Every artist at Everybody taught themselves to tattoo. No apprenticeship, no shop owner deciding who was allowed in. That is unusual enough to say first, because it explains the rest: why the work looks the way it does, why you pick from a wall instead of pitching an idea, and why nobody will talk over you.

Why that matters

The usual way into tattooing is an apprenticeship. You find an established artist, you sweep their floor for a year or two, and eventually they decide whether you are ready. It produces good technicians. It also decides, quietly, who is allowed to make marks on other people.

Everyone working here skipped that. They learned by drawing constantly, then by tattooing carefully. What comes out is fine lines, soft shapes and colours a traditional shop would not reach for.

The studio runs the way it was built. There is no head artist and nobody is anybody's junior.

Each artist books their own work and keeps their own portfolio. Their Instagram is the real thing to look at, so this is an index rather than a set of profiles.

You're never going to come in and feel like we aren't listening to you. That's a huge thing that I feel like is different.

Once a month the whole shop draws to one theme, and everything on the wall that month is new. You pick what you want off it. If you have never been tattooed before, this is a far easier way in than describing an idea to a stranger and hoping they understood you.
